2010

Bilfinger landed in Finland through the acquisition of Oripipe Oy. Oripipe’s turnover was 12 million euros 2012 and it specialized in heavy industry pipe installations, industrial maintenance and engineering shop services.

2011

Bilfinger strengthened its position in the Finnish market by acquiring Are Oy’s Industrial Services business unit. This acquired heavy industry automation, electric and instrumentation installation business complemented Bilfinger’s service offering, which was focused on mechanical and piping installations. The turnover of the acquired unit was 22 million euros. Bilfinger’s presence in the largest industrial districts become stronger. As the result of the deal, Bilfinger’s turnover more than doubled, reaching 40 million euros in 2012.

2012

Bilfinger’s strategy was renewed. The Group name was changed from BIS Production Partner Oy to its current version Bilfinger Industrial Services Finland Oy. At the same time, the company logo and visual identity changed.

According to the new strategy, Bilfinger primarily focused on its industrial customers and highlighted the service capability enabled by its network in large-scale projects that required a lot of resources.

2013

Bilfinger signed a collaboration agreement with the Vaasa-based VEO Oy. VEO provides automation, drives and power distribution solutions for the energy and process industries.
 
Bilfinger placed its installation expertise and Scandinavian-wide business network in VEO’s use, thereby supporting its turnkey deliveries.

2014

Bilfinger’s new facilities in Porvoo, Kilpilahti, were completed. The investment was over 4 million euros.
